Overview

It is only the first quarter of the 21st century and we have already witnessed two global financial crises, several wars, massive environmental degradation caused by climate change, food and water shortages, and alarming socioeconomic inequality. Furthermore, businesses are reeling under constant geopolitical upheaval and ever-changing ESG regulation and reporting requirements that cost time and money. Despite nearly US$40 trillion in ESG funds, progress on environmental and social sustainability remains slow.

  • How can organisations drive profitable growth in such a volatile and uncertain environment?
  • Can they succeed by addressing the very challenges that are threatening humanity today?

Fortunately, the answer is YES. The most successful organisations in the world have demonstrated that the secret to long-term profitability and growth lies in maximising profit by maximising purpose.

The challenge is clear: Businesses must reframe the cost and risk of current existential challenges into a growth opportunity – doing well by doing good. Today’s problems cannot be addressed with the same thinking on which they were created. Business bosses must recognise the inadequacy of existing leadership and governance models and mature into Steward Leaders.

Designed and co-delivered by Mr Rajeev Peshawaria, CEO of Stewardship Asia Centre and Deakin Business School experts, the Steward Leadership Edge program focuses on how participants can personally upgrade into Steward Leaders and activate the Steward Leadership Compass© to future-proof their organisations.
